Dye and Durham present on the Family Law Act

Recently, a few members of the LSS team attended a webinar put on by Laurelly Dale, from Dye & Durham, on the new Family Law Act. They enjoyed the webinar and found it a helpful look at how the new act will affect family law in BC once it comes into effect on March 18, 2013.

Among other things, it covered:

  • what exactly “best interest of the child” means,
  • family dispute resolution,
  • what “significantly unfair” means, and
  • procedural changes to the court system.

Dye and Durham have graciously allowed us to share their handout from the presentation with you. You can also see our Guide to the New BC Family Law Act for more information.

Please note that this handout should only be read as legal information, not legal advice, and can only be reproduced with the permission of Laurelly Dale and Dye & Durham.
